About Guided SEN

Guidance first. Escalation only when the evidence requires it.

Guided SEN exists because the statutory system is hard to use even when everyone is acting in good faith. Families get lost in process. Teams under pressure produce plans that will not survive scrutiny. Children wait.

Our approach is simple: understand the child, apply the law accurately, write clearly, and keep relationships workable wherever that still serves the child.

We work across England with parents, carers, SENCOs, school leaders and local authority SEND teams.

Guided SEN

Katie Marie George

Inclusive, motivated and tenacious to get positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND who have experienced adversity and challenge.

15 years’ experience working within a local authority SEN team, building relationships with families, stakeholders and partners to drive and deliver service improvements.

Independent

We are not employed by the local authority or the school on family cases. Conflicts are declined.

Child-centred

The test is always whether the provision will enable the child or young person to make progress.

Professionally bounded

We are advocates, not solicitors. We will tell you when reserved legal work is required.
